A few words about us...
Heartland Case Management was founded in 2003, but our nurses have over 18 years experience in work comp case management and over 20 plus years in orthopedics and neurosurgery. We are skilled in catastrophic, major trauma, burns, pulmonary, complicated/litigated cases; we are fully licensed, insured, and credentialed. Other areas of expertise include pain management, wound care, spinal cord injury, closed / traumatic head injury, exposure injuries and cumulative trauma. Special emphasis is directed toward cost containment on every file. Our charges are highly competitive and remain below corporate rates.
Coverage area (where we deliver)
We cover the entire state of Kansas, with the exception of the Kansas City Metro area, unless specifically requested (for cost containment reasons). We are familiar with resources in the rural areas; both western and southeast Kansas. Expanded coverage areas have included northern Oklahoma, southern Nebraska and Denver, Co. metro area.
- We are RNs with additional CCM licensure. Melisa is licensed in Colorado as well as Kansas. We are experienced in complex, litigated claims, with many years of work comp practice. We are familiar with many of the defense and claimant attorneys spanning our coverage area.
- Work comp can encompass bizarre and devastating injuries. Serious disability can involve complex treatment that needs experience and skill to coordinate care. Both require a seasoned, experienced nurse to deal with complex, critical or specialized care.
